DABCE AB has been awarded a grant from Vinnova within the call Acceleration of Civil-Military Innovations 2025. The funded project, titled OWTS – Energy-efficient and autonomous water purification for field environments, aims to develop robust off-grid water treatment systems for defense and emergency applications. The project aligns with NATO’s priority areas for Emerging and Disruptive Technologies (EDTs) and will participate in a dedicated accelerator program to strengthen dual-use innovation.

DABCE AB is collaborating with FineCell to develop next-generation nitrocellulose, combining FineCell’s Swedish cellulose feedstock with DABCE’s expertise in process design, materials science, and electroorganic chemistry.

By controlling nitration reactions involving both positive and negative nitro intermediates – including reactive species such as nitronium ions and peroxynitrous acid – we are building a new platform for EU-based production of nitrocellulose for civil and dual-use applications.

We have established the potential for flow chemistry, offering significant advantages over traditional batch processing: more consistent product quality, reduced batch-to-batch variation, improved safety when handling reactive species, and the ability to scale up to continuous, high-capacity production. This marks an important step toward reducing dependence on global cotton linter supply chains while elevating the technical standard of European nitrocellulose manufacturing.

Through this collaboration we intend to explore the possibility of entering into a commercial arrangement concerning DABCEs innovative products for the emerging foodtech industry.

As a global partner, SIEMENS has the global access through its sales networks, and the capacity of supporting hightech product development in the green technology sector.

The collaboration aims to combine DABCE's advanced water purification technology with Wattly Group's expertise in ensuring stable revenue streams and optimizing returns in green sustainable investments. A central aspect is to integrate energy production, such as solar and battery systems, as well as off-grid solutions, in connection with the water purification plants, thereby creating energy-efficient and self-sufficient solutions. For Wattly Group, a key purpose of the collaboration is to develop diversified solutions that reduce risk and offer investors a secure and stable return.

Together, the companies will offer complete project deliveries within water purification and sustainable infrastructure – from technology to implementation, including integrated energy solutions and ownership.

Baltic Impact Accelerator is a 36-month project that implements an accelerator programme to develop new business models with a focus on Triple Bottom Line (3BL).

The project helps to establish presence outside home markets, supports raising investments for accelerated growth, and nurtures consortiums and partnerships among companies.

The project tackles the challenges of new growth companies in the Central Baltic region by utilizing the Triple Bottom Line (3BL) methodology that enables more growth with specific consideration towards the environment and society.

Baltic Impact Accelerator is organized by Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology, GreenTech Cluster, Latvian Chamber of Commerce, CleanTech Estonian, and Sustainability InnoCenter.

We have been awarded Vinnova funding for works towards the EIC accelerator programme.

The project aims at securing large scale financing for the next phase in developing the DABCE Analyzer platform.

DABCE Analyzer enables real time high stability measurement data for water and waste-water.

Using our innovative take on measurement, combined with a cloud-enabled platform, we can provide the stable and accurate data needs for advanced digitalization.

The Vinnova support truly helps us take the next steps towards securing large scale funding for this exciting tech and product launch.

Yesterday our daughter company Fisköga AB won an award at the springparty for UIC - Uppsala Innovation Centre.

The award was Branns grand price, awarded by BRANN AB.

As cofounders and part of developing the Company and its products we are proud, excited and very inspired by this award.

Fisköga AB develops develop deep-tech measurement systems for the global fishery industry. Using advanced systems on-board, they enable fishing vessels to analyze the catch in realtime. Through advanced communications platform, onboard and onshore teams can see the catch data in real time.
