PFAS-4 = PFOA + PFOS + PFNA + PFHxS. Not “short-chain PFAS”, but the four compounds in the EFSA health-based value. More on PFAS-4.
PFAS-11 = eleven compounds (PFAS-4 plus PFBA, PFPeA, PFHxA, PFHpA, PFDA, PFBS and 6:2 FTS). Used for the 90 ng/L groundwater EQS.
PFAS-21 = EU DWD “Sum of PFAS” (20) plus 6:2 FTS. Swedish drinking-water limit 100 ng/L. PFAS-21 includes PFAS-4 — do not add the sums.
